Infectious diseases - from theoretical knowledge to the patientOptional subject recommended for 4, 5 and 6th yearGuarant: MUDr.Dita Smíšková, Ph.D.Term: 11 / 2015-6 / 2016, definite date by personal agreementVenue: Department of Infectious, Tropical and Parasitic Diseases Hospital BulovkaNumber of participants: min. 3, max. 15Expected knowledge: basic knowledge of microbiology and internal medicineLogging in electronic form and subsequently an agreement with one of the doctors listed below.The new course is based on a students' interest in participating in the emergency physician shift work in recent years.Subject will be organized by actively participating in the emergency work at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, under the supervision of physicians from Clinic of Infectious Diseases (MD. Smíšková, MD.Herrmannová, MD.Trojánek). The dates will be agreed upon on an individual basis. Students will participate in emergency shift work, will meet with acute cases in outpatient and inpatient part. Requirements for obtaining credit : participation in five emergency services (about 2-4 hours, max. 2 students with one teacher). In conclusion, the student will prepare a case report. Subject can be signed up for individual teachers from 1 November 2015, after the electronic log.
