Practical and field work (Field station of Botanical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic near Třeboň)Evapotranspiration estimated by a method of radiation balance from Bowen ratio. During 24 hours - solar radiation, dry and wet temperatures, temperatures of soil in several depth are measured and amount of evaporated water is calculated.Photosynthesis, transpiration, respiration rates are measured on single leaves of selected plants. Transpiration coefficient, quantum yield of photosynthesis can be easily expressed from measured data. Shaded and sun exposed leaves may be compared. Measurements are done directly in stands by a portable device.Photosynthesis in water and associated diurnal changes of oxygen and carbon dioxide concentration and pH values. Light extinction in water, estimation of primary production by method of dark and light bottles - net photosynthesis, dark respiration are measured. Concentration of oxygen is measured by a Clark type sensor, concentration of inorganic carbon is calculated from pH and alkalinity. Occasionaly redox of flooded soil is measured by platinum redox electrodes.The results of field work are presented by students at the end of the practicum and results are discussed.
