Starting from the early modern era (Jewish Humanism, Spinoza), we will focus on the main turning points in modern Jewish history (Haskalah, Zionism, Holocaust/Shoa) as well as the reactions towards them (Hasidism, Ultra-Orthodoxy, Jewish Existentialism); But will also take into account less prominent and contemporary tendencies in Jewish thought, e.g. Postmodernism and Jewish Feminism.
