Nástin přístupů k lexikálnímu významu: Složková analýza. Teorie prototypů. Sémantika rámců. Konceptuální metafora. Polysémie jako kontextová variabilita významu, hranice mezi jednotlivými významy polysémického lexému.

Získané způsobilosti

Studenti budou způsobilí ke kritickému čtení anglicky psané odborné literatury z oblasti přístupů k lexikálnímu významu.

domácí příprava - četba a zvládnutí desetiminutových testů z ní na začátku každého semináře, aktivní účast v diskuzích, ústní pohovorOkruhy pro zkoušku ANT1, ANT2 - SEM11. Mental lexicon and dictionary: their structure and organization. Basic units in the description of the English vocabulary: Lexeme, lexical unit/item, word, word forms. Idioms of decoding and idioms of encoding: Syntactic properties of idioms, collocation and the ways of measuring its strength, colligation. Open choice principle and idiom principle. Compositionality.2. Word meaning and sentence meaning: descriptive versus non-descriptive meaning and the ways of distinguishing them. Types of non-descriptive meaning and its treatment in dictionaries. Propositional synonyms, absolute synonyms and near synonyms. Sentence meaning.3. Descriptive meaning and its systematic description: componential approaches to lexical meaning (classical approach to conceptual categories) and their representatives. Evidence for semantic features (discreetness of meaning, lexical relations, anomaly, ambiguity, etc.), drawbacks of the approach. Entailment relations.4. Alternative to lexical decomposition 1: Prototype theory. Categorization of colour. Basic level categories. Categories with the structure of Family resemblance. 5.
