Předmět je otevřen všem posluchačům FF UP, obzvláště se doporučuje studentům a studentkám zvažujícím studijní pobyt v zahraničí. V případě dotazů kontaktujte vyučujícího na emailu milan.hain@upol.czFILM AND AUTHORSHIPCOURSE OBJECTIVES:The course will provide a concise introduction to the problems of film authorship. Students will get familiar with different concepts of authorship in cinema, especially with the so-called auteur theory which originated and dominated in the 1950s and 60s and the various responses that followed in the coming years. Students will engage with primary texts on the topic which will be discussed in the seminars. At the end of the course students will be able to articulate and evaluate different ideas of film authorship and discuss set of films using several different authorship frameworks. They will also produce their own paper on auteur (not necessarily a film director) of their choice. The course will be conducted in the English language and is particularly recommended to exchange students and those considering studying abroad (for example prospective ERASMUS+ students etc.).
