Obsah

The workshop will enable students to explore the meaning of "heart". It will also help them activate the power of the heart to raise awareness of self, others and world. The root of education (educare) means to "lead out from". This, and other metaphors, will be used in a wide range of exercises to assist the learning journey. Students will be encouraged to investigate how they can be more effective in their lives through leading from the heart. The workshop will address such issues as wisdom and compassion, self-identity, empowerment, healing, courage and trust. Students will also learn various holistic approaches that help contextualise the specific explorations. They will be challenged to consider whether the finer characteristics of humanity can only be manifested through the heart.

Požadavky

The assessment criterion for the workshop is based on active and participatory approaches to learning. Students will be expected to contribute through dialogue, exercises, small and whole group work, and personal reflections.
