CLOSING REQUIREMENTS. 1. Active participation in classes and reading of assignments (Each class you will get a participation grade). (One for each day you are here.)2. Written homework turn in. Each class you must turn in one homework assignment. This must be your own work. 3. Make a personal recreation notebook diary. What am I learning in this class? What am I doing for recreation, leisure, play? One entry for each week. 4. Organize a recreation activity in your community. See yourself as a leisure educator. Make out a leisure education plan for this activity. 5. Class research project of recreation and leisure habits of students. Each student interview 10 students. 6. Pick one recreation activity (rock climbing, reading novels, travel) that you are interested in. Read five articles about this activity and report in class (Three of these articles must come from journals listed below) and create a recreation program/job for your country/home. 7. Meet with Dr. Roberson one time. 8. Bonus: Read one book on some topic of recreation. Can be in your language. 9. Bonus: Join one of the Recreation classes at Academy of Sports. You must choose some activity you have never done. Write an evaluation of this activity based on class. 10. Bonus: Read one article on recreation or leisure written by Dr. Roberson and write a critique of this article.
