Urgent resuscitation - BLS, PBLS, ALS, PALS. Defibrillators, AED. ACLS-training model. simulator. Puncture PNO, coniotomy. EMS organisation. Practice at Emergency department. Anaesthesia - examinations before anaesthesia, division, pharmaceuticals, course, complications. Practice at anaesth. department. Acute and chronic pain. Shock, dg. and therapy, problems of circulatory compensation. Intensive care - general aspects, patient stabilisation, monitoring, nutrition, specifics of artificial ventilation . Brain death - diagnosis, transplant program, donor care. Sepsis and MODS incl. ARDS, causes, diagnosis, therapy. Practice in the intensive care ward.

After participation in the course the students will be able to provide basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation including implementation of life-saving procedures and will be orientated in anaesthesia, emergency and intensive medicine problems.
