Content of endodontics provides basic knowledge in the field of endodontics. Student will be apprize with content of field, topography of pulp cavity, histology and physiology of dental pulp and with pulp-periodontal complex. Workplace equipment, instruments and devices for root canal treatment, techniques and methods of root canal shaping and disinfection, temporary filling and permament root canal filling is discussed (theoretically and practically on root canal models). Theory also includes caries near the pulp and caries penetrating into the pulp, reversible and irreversible conditions of the pulp, pulp inflammation, issue of infected root canal, apical periodontium inflammation and acute conditions in endodontics. Student is taught algorithm of examination and treatment options, rudiments of postendodontics and secondary endodontics. Endodontics in temporary teeth, treatment procedure of exposed pulp in undeveloped permanent teeth, apexification, indications of surgery additional endodontic procedures and indications of extractions of permanent undeveloped teeth. Finally, practical diagnostical and therapeutical procedures used in endodontics will be demonstrated on patients.

tudent will obtain knowledge of topography of pulp cavity and root canals, physiology of dental pulp and of methods of biological treatment od pulp. Pathological changes of the pulp, fysiology and patology of periapical space will be discussed. Important part of the subject are methods of diagnostics and therapy in endodontics. Practical trainings are focused on work on root canal models using various methods and techniques of root canal shaping and obturation. Diagnostical and therapeutical procedures used in endodontics will be also demonstrated on patients.
