Cíl
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the fundamental theoretical knowledge necessary for management of corporate IS. It is necessary to understand the trends in IS development, to know the substance of up to-date information technologies and to understand strategic management issues in the field of IS. Students need to know how the information system may be used to gain a strategic advantage, they have to identify and master solution of questions related to the IS efficiency and its measuring, to know how to analyse the suitability of application of different IS types of in a company and also to understand fundamental principles of security policy in the field of IS.
Osnova
Topics of lectures are the following:- Types of IS,- Data and function modelling,- Database systems, - Information Strategies,- IS strategic management,- IS effectiveness, evaluation metric,- Safety policy in the field of IS.The seminars are focused on practising of the lectured topics and elaboration of case studies (both individually and in teams).
