The official name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, It is situated in the West of Europe. It has four parts England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The capital city is London.

The highest peak is Ben Nevis – 1,343m high. The longest river is the Severn, and other important rivers are the Thames ( this river flows through London), the Avon and others. The biggest lake is Loch Fyne, which is situated in Scotland.
