− It lies in the heart of Europe in the centre of Bohemia on the Vltava River− It is the largest and the most hectic city in Czech Republic
− It is the 14th largest city in the European Union
− The population is more than one milion of people− It is seat of the President, government and parliament and the political, cultural and economic centre of the country
− It’s sometimes cal ed town with hundred towers because of big count of towers
− There are many historical sights like The Prague Castle, The Cathedral of St. Vitus, Wenceslas Square, The Old Town
Square, The Charles Bridge
− The Prague Castle, the seat of t he President, is the dominant of the city. The monumental complex of the castle
includes three courtyards and over 700 rooms among which the late Gothic Vladislav Hall, and the newly
redecorate Spanish Hall and Rudolph Gallery are the most renowned.
− The Cathedral of St. Vitus is the biggest church in Prague and holds the treasury of the Czech coronation jewels.
− Wenceslas Square is one of the centres of the city
− The Old Town Square is another significant historical spot
− There are various means of transport: underground, buses, trams, trolley-bus,trains and Václav Havel Airport
− The highest point is Teleček near Zličín
− You have many shopping possibilities there
− In the Prague´s centre there are mostly shops with souvenirs for tourists
− For lovers of fashion there are huge shopping mal s as Palladium or Arkády− It is easy to get there for me, it is about an one hour away by bus
− There is a lot of universities, the most known is the Charles University
