1915 to 1916 against the Turkish, who finally
won the battle. Australia as well as New Zealand
lost thousands of soldiers during the battle. The
casualties of the Gallipoli campaign are still felt
very strongly in both countries even though it
happened 100 years ago.

the north and by the
Tasman Sea from New

Australian Parliament has two Houses - the Upper
House called the Senate and the Lower House called
the House of Representatives. The New Zealand
Parliament has only one House - the House of
Representatives.
