Water, air and soil pollution
Surfacewaters are destroyed mainly industrial and agricultural chemicals. Water also contaminate physical contaminants (sand, soap, gases, oils and fats) and biological contaminants (bacteria, viruses, fungi)
AirTrees are very important for us, because they produce oxygen for breathing.
Soil pollution usually has origin in the use of pesticides, in absorbing contaminate water into the soil, leakage of waste from landfills and industrial waste into the soil.
Animals in dangerous
Lists of endangered species of animals are still growing. Animals are losing their homes because of deforestation and environmental pollution. Animals are also killed for expensive leather and horns.
Waste, rubbish
Waste can be sorted into special containers. They are color coded according to the type of waste that goes in them. For a plastic is yellow container, for glass is green and for paper blue.
From individuals and companies who store waste in bins and containers, usually exporting waste garbage trucks or urban municipal services. After his congregation usually use one of the followingoptions:
reuse
recycling
composting
energy use
direct combustion / gasification – spalování, zplyňování
production of fuel
sent to landfill - skládka
Some actions we cando to protect the environment:
- Separate and recycle your trash: Bio, paper, glass, plastic and metals, used batteries
- Do not waste water. Take shower instead of baths.
- Do not waste electricity. Switch off the lights, radio.. when you are not using them.
- Bike, walk when possible or use public transportation.
- Grow plants and trees.

Greenpeace – an international organization which fights against pollution.
The green party – a world wide political party which is independently represented in the Czech republic.
Eyffa – European youth forests action alliance, a network of European environmental grassroots organizations, with headquarters in Prague.
GEN – global ecovillage network, a network of ecovillages, creating an alternative ecological way of life for families and individuals.
