9. Prague

In Prague, there are many theatres, for example Smetana Theatre, Magic Latern, the Reduta Hall, the Lucerna Hall, the Tyl Theatre, the Vinohrady Theatre, Divadlo na Zábradlí and National Theatre.

National Theatre: after opening in 1881 it was damaged by fire and rebuilt in the next two years. The best artists as M. Aleš, F. Ženíšek and V. Hynais decorated the theatre.

Many world known personalities live or spent some time in Prague, for example: Mozart, Beethoven, Descartes, Paganini, Kafka etc.

SHOPPING:

You have many shopping possibilities there. In the Prague´s centre there are mostly shops with souvenirs for tourists. For lovers of fashion there are huge shopping malls as Palladium, Zličín or Arkády.

TRANSPORT:

In Prague you can travel by underground, it is quick and relatively cheap or by bus or tram. I thing that the public transport is very good, you can get everywhere, you don’t have to wait for so long.

There are a lot of busses, trams and underground which have three lanes.

At the summer you can also hire a boat and have a trip on the river or you can hire a horse-cart or some of the sightseeing trams.

The most expensive way of transport is going by taxi. It is quite big risk because the taxi drives cheat and charge more than they are allowed to. Taxis are not also very quick because streets are full of cars and buses.

In Prague is one Airport - the Airport of Václav Havel. In the past it was named The Ruzyně Airport.

It was rebuilt few years ago, it’s quite big but not as big as Frankfurt for example, it’s very modern.
