9._MY_FAMILY_AND_ME

a pre-school child – childhood is a nice and carefree period of life. It influences the rest of life. Children play games, make first friends at the nursery school or kindergarten.

Teenage age /13-19/ - is a period of maturing, growing up, forming opinions, seeking the sense of live, trying to understand to oneself and to other people. Their views of live and parent’s opinions are in conflict – this difference is called generation gap.

Adult age – people get married, their build up their home, they overcome the problems together, they bring up children, they want to have a good living conditions – job, flat, money, house, flat, car,...

Growing old – old people should be wise, experience, helpful and understanding. Children left their family but old people do not like to live alone or in rest homes. Old age means more wrinkles, bald head, false teeth, grey hair and illnesses. Old people must feel that they are still useful and loved.

* CONFLICTS BETWEEN TEENAGERS AND PARENTS - A “GENERATION GAP”

- it is conflict between parents and their teenagers

- it is a situation in which older and younger people do not understand each other because of their different

experiences, opinions, habits, and behaviour

- teenagers often complain that their parents: do not understand them, do not have enough time for them, give

them a lot of useless advice, moralize and control them, do not give them freedom, force them to do thinks,...

- these conflicts may lead to: use of alcohol and drugs, the refusal to attend school, running away from home,

turning the crime...

- I live with my mum, brother and grandmother in a bungalow in Třinec. My brother is yonger than me and attends vocation school in Jablunkov. My mum works in Koňská and my gnandmother is retired. My father has lived aboard since 2014. I think I get well with my parents.

- lots of people say that I take after my mother but I have no idea what we have the same. Sometimes I have an argument with my brother but we always made it up. I also love time, which I spend with my extended family. We celebrate birthday, wedding or have a barbecue.

- he should be a loyal, kind, helpful, good friend and has a sense of humour. He also must be taller than me and he should be in a similar age range as me. He should love travelling, because in the future I would like to travel.

- I met Karolína at primary school when I was 14 years old and I attended an after – school activity. She was a kind, extroverted, clever and an ambitious. She was smaller than me. She had a blonde long hair and beautiful blue eyes. Since that time her appearance has change very much. She is taller; her hair is shorter and darker. She is a good-looking. She is a kind, easy-going, cheerful and stubborn. She is very hard-working girl, who has got part-time jobs. She attends a grammar school in Český Těšín. In future she would like to be a teacher. She loves singing, dancing and going out with friends. She does swimming and skiing. I like her like a friend because we have the same interests and also she understands my problems.
