AMERICAN CITIES

Maturitní otázka z angličtiny

American cities are very diverse and often very different from European cities. They are usually large, modern, and spread out, with a downtown centre and many surrounding suburbs. Many American cities have a specific role, for example, business, politics, tourism, or entertainment. It is also typical that the largest cities are not the state capitals, which is different from many other countries.

Compared to the Czech Republic, cities with 10,000 people are small towns in the USA, and even midsized cities can feel very big and modern. Also because of the largeness of the cities and suburbs, car is a must-have there.
