• economics - it brings in money, probably the main advantage of tourism and the reason why it has been promoted so much, especially in developing countries

- tourism sector gives security and stability to the economy of the nation, preventing it from tanking in times of crisis

• opportunities - it provides jobs in hotels, bars, transport, activities, shops, and restaurants all need staffing

• different cultures - it promotes international connections which can bring more business and cultural collaboration

- it also promotes cross-cultural awareness for both locals and tourists and builds bridges of understanding between cultures

DISADVANTAGES

• environmental damage - not usually happen because the tourists themselves directly cause the damage, but rather it happens because of the number of planes flying and cars driving

- tourists can cause a lot of land pollution - as they throw a massive amount of garbage and waste
