landmarks. We can hire a guide,
go and visit them on our own or
pay for a sightseeing tour.
As the seats are small
and there are many
other people around
you, it might be less
comfortable than the
other modes of
transport.
In exotic countries like
Egypt, Morocco or
Thailand, we can try
water sports or
activities such as
diving or windsurfing.
In Europe, we can find many
historical monuments visited
by millions of tourists each
year. The Eiffel Tower in
Paris, The Colosseum in
Rome or The Acropolis in
Athens are the most popular.
Despite the distance, between 30
000 and 40 000 Czechs visit Thailand
each year. Most of them stay on the
beaches, but there is one activity
which gained great popularity -
elephant riding.
Most people go for a vacation
only to relax on the beach,
enjoying the sun and the sea,
using sun umbrellas and towels.
On most beaches, there are places
to play beach-volleyball.
Winter sports are very popular
as well - many Czechs travel to
the Alps to enjoy skiing or
snowboarding.
As we can travel
freely since the
Velvet Revolution,
many young Czechs
study at foreign
universities.
There are possibilities to work for charitable or
non-profit organisations in developing countries in Asia
or Africa. We can find many young Czechs learning
