„Národní divadlo bylo vybudováno v letech 1868-1881 díky penězům sbíranými po celé zeměmi. Po ničivém požáru v roce 1883 bylo divadlo znovu postaveno. Je to místo, kde se hraje drama, operní a baletní představení, divadlo se stalo jedním z nejvýznamnějších českých kulturních divadel.“

The National theatre was built between 1868 and 1881 thanks to money collected all around the country. Following a destructive fire in 1883, the theatre was built again. It is a place where dramas, operas and ballets are shown, the theatre has become one of the top Czech cultural theatre.

„Další významnou památkou je hrad Vyšehrad, který je nejstarším sídlem českých vládců, legendární princezny Libuše a prvních členů Přemyslovců. Na hřbitově Vyšehrad byly pohřbeny české osobnosti.“

Another notable monument is Vyšehrad Castle, which is the oldest seat of Czech rulers, legendary princess Libuše and the first members of the Přemyslid Dynasty. In Vyšehrad cemetery Czech person laities have been buried.

„Jeden z nejlepších pohledů na město by mohl být z Petřínské věže. Je to 60 metrů vysoký s 299 schody, a byl postaven jako kopie Eiffelovy věže v Paříži. Na vrcholu Petřínského vrchu je zrcadlové bludiště.“

One of the best views to the city could be from the Petřín Tower. It is 60m tall with 299 steps and it was built as a copy of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. There is a mirror maze on the top of the Petřín Hill.

„Praha spojuje železniční tratě ze všech směrů. Je zde také letiště - Ruzyně. Cesty v Praze jsou plné aut, další možností je využít veřejnou dopravu, která je dobrá a není příliš drahá. K dispozici jsou autobusy a tramvaje. Praha má také metro od roku 1974.“

Prague connects rail ways from all directions. There is an airport – Ruzyně too. Roads in Prague are full of cars, other option is to use public transport which is good and not very expensive. There are of busses and trams. Prague has also had an underground since 1974.

Prague is not only a historical city with beautiful architecture but also a modern city of a population of more than a million people. It is the seat of Government, international organizations. Prague is also a centre of a lot of companies and banks. There are also new restaurants and hotels, galleries, museums, cafés, jazz clubs and events like the Prague Spring music festival.
