A wedding is a ceremony that celebrates the beginning of marriage. Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. In some countries, cultures and religions, the actual act of marriage begins during the wedding ceremony. In others, the legal act of marriage occurs at the time of signing a marriage license or other legal document, and the wedding is then an opportunity to perform a traditional ceremony and celebration with friends and family. A woman taking part in the ceremony is called a bride, a man is called a bridegroom, after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband.

Types of marriage:

A romantic marriage or a pragmatic marriage

In some states if two people of the same sex got married, they live in a same-sex marriage.

In other cultures a bigamy, monogamy, polygamy (one man has two or more women) or polyandry (one woman has two or more men) is possible.

The traditional marriage – a husband is the main force and decision maker, the wife is responsible only for childcare and domestic matters.

The companionship marriage – male and female rules are not differentiated, both the partners can make decisions and take responsibility for any area.

The colleague marriage – each partner becomes responsible for different areas according to their interests and abilities.

Parenting

Everyone should ask herself or himself if she or he wants to have a baby. Many factors can contribute to the decision to have it:

  • Love for children

  • Social pressure (own parents)

  • A need for the emotional security

Other factors may on the other hand this decision reverse:

  • No place to live in

  • Lack of money

  • Immaturity of one or both partners

From the physical point of view, the best age of giving birth is about the age of 20, but today it is too early for many women because of higher education, building a career or just enjoying the freedom.

Parents in our society have less time and expensive cost of living. But spending time with children as much as possible is needed for good relationships with children. If parents do not have enough time to be with their child, the child can tend to spend his time by doing bad things such as smoking, watching too much TV or PC – can replace communication and can support aggressivity or rudeness and so on.

Parents have a big responsibility, they have to take care of a child. They must give the same amount of love and care to all their children.

Early childhood generally involve the period from birth to the age of 5. A child´s cognitive development during early childhood, which includes building skills such as pre-reading, language, vocabulary and working with numbers, begins from the moment when a child is born.

Developmental scientists have found that the brain accepts (gains) an amount of information about language in the first year of life, before infants can speak. By the time babies say or understand their first words, they know which particular sounds their language uses, what sounds can be combined to create words, and the tempo and rhythm of words or phrases.
