This growth has happened because medicine, food production, and healthcare improved, so people live longer. At the same time, in many developed countries people have fewer children, which means the population is getting older.

Technology is also changing society very quickly. Modern technologies and social media make communication easier, but they can also create problems. Some people spend too much time online and have less personal contact with others, which can lead to stress or loneliness.

How We Can Help?

Even though these problems seem very big, everyone can help in small ways. For example, we can:

• protect the environment by recycling and using less energy

• treat other people with respect

• stay informed about social and political issues

• support organizations that help people in need

Some international organizations that work to solve global problems include the United Nations (UN), Greenpeace, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Food Programme.
