Famous English football teams that include the name of the city where 
they  are  based  include  West  Bromwich  Albion,  West  Ham,  Leeds 
United, Liverpool United, Manchester United, Sheffield Wednesday, 
Wolverhampton  Wanderers  (the  Wolves),  etc.  In  Scotland,  two 
of  the  most  famous  teams  are  both  based  in  Glasgow.  One  is  the 
Rangers which draws most of its support from the local Protestant 
community. Its rival is Celtic which is mainly supported by the local 
Roman Catholic community.  

Soccer is another name 
commonly  used  when 
referring to association 
football.  It  is  also  the 
name used in the US to 
avoid  confusion  with 
American Football.

Rugby football
This game was first played in 1823 at a private school in England 
called Rugby in the town of the same name. This is a type of football 
in which two teams try to score points by carrying an oval ball across 
a  particular  line  or  kicking  it  over  and  between  an  H-shaped  set 
of  posts.  There  are  two  types  of  rugby:  Rugby  League  and  Rugby 
Union.

Rugby  League  is  played  by  professionals  with  13  players  in  each 
team. It is traditionally associated with the north of England as well 
as in Australia.

Rugby  Union  is  the  standard  game  of  rugby  which  is  played  by 
amateurs.  15  players  represent  each  team.  Rugby  Union  is  played 
internationally between many countries which include Australia, Fiji, 
France, South Africa, Argentina, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, 
and New Zealand.
