Presentation of a product (or sales pitch) is important for the sale of a product. Companies give
presentations when they launch a new product or a new model of an existing product.
The person who presents a product should know his/her audience and adjust the presentation
accordingly. The speaker should know the tastes and goals of listeners to make his/her presentation
effective and persuade the audience that the product is the right thing for them.
If you are the person who gives a presentation, you have to know how to behave during the
presentation, how to speak, how to dress. The first impression can be decisive for the audience.
You have to keep eye contact with listeners. Every listener in the audience should think that
you are talking to him or her. Look at each person in the audience for about a second, before
moving to the next person. Don´t concentrate on just one or two people
You have to face the audience at all times. Don´t speak to the screen and the equipment.
You should smile at appropriate moments, but not too much.
You have to check your voice – you have to be sure that you speak loudly enough and
everyone at the back of the room can hear you. But do not shout. Use the microphone if you
need one.
You should vary the pitch of your voice because monotonous speech is very boring.
2
You have to pay attention to body language: you shouldstand up straight, move your hands
to emphasize key points. But don´t move your hands too much, after a hand gesture, return
your hands at the height of your waist. Never put hands in your pockets.
You should stay more or less in one place, don´t move around too much. Avoid moving and
speaking.
