Nirvana

was a Czech composer of Romantic 

classical music born in Nelahozeves. 

As one of only a few Czechs he gained 

international fame. In the late 19th 

century he worked for a few years in 

the USA. His most popular work, "The 

New World Symphony", was taken as 

a recording by Neil Armstrong to the 

Moon in 1969 during the Apollo 11 

mission - the first Moon landing in 

history.
