One of the most important services for YouTubers, who activated the monetisation, is YouTube Red. This service works based on the monthly streaming subscription for viewers. It was put into operation in 2014 where it was formerly called Music Key, but the original use was supposed to be different (YouTube Help, 2017). Although, YouTube Red grants the paid watching, the quality of the videos are pretty often better. Nevertheless, this service is provided for certain countries which are listed in YouTube Help. Nowadays though, YouTube might recommend transferring videos to this paid service, even though the user is not from the selected country because it concerns only to the viewers.

YouTube TV was launched on February 28, 2017. It is a paid service which shows various contents from various broadcasters. However, the service is only enabled in the bigger cities of the US. The service has pros and cons, but if the person is out-of-that-place, then it is not worth to purchase it (Welch, 2017).

Positive Motivation

The public attention motivation means YouTube will help a person to become famous on the Internet (these people are called YouTubers) and later, the YouTuber might hit the real show business. The more the user uploads videos and influences people around, the more the person increases on the rate of popularity. By the way, YouTube organizes (with the studio
Portal A Interactive) YouTube Rewind2 which is held every year and if the person is enough popular, YouTube can cast the YouTubers in the event and this would mean the greater fame (Allocca, 2017).

The financial motivation consists in the YouTube’s system of remuneration of users. YouTube provides the Google AdSense from Google where the users can monetize own videos and earn from it (Lišková, 2017). The more the rate of viewership rises, the more the YouTuber can earn money from it. Furthermore, the user can be reached out by other companies which care about own employees as well. YouTube offers a lot of bonuses (primarily passive – not from YouTube, but from viewers).

The material motivation has two forms. The first form is for artists who accomplished something (e. g. the most viewed video, the catchiest song, the most influential video …). This form is updated every year (different prizes). The second form is for users (uploaders in general) which is only updated in the case of number of subscribers.

In the first place, YouTube organizes the awards ceremony for various works (for instance Music Awards, Best Videos, Streamy Awards etc.). This contribution is awarded by the prize, which updates every year, and they receive a special invitation to an event later that year (McCarthy, 2008).
