lie (intransitive) → lies → lay → lain → lying (↑the example above)
lay (transitive, to lay STH) →lays → laid →laid → laying

Extensive
Intransitive

(A transitive verb is a verb which takes an object, therefore ↑↑)
Monotransitive (or just transitive)
