Promotion

The video (the product) is accessed for the viewers and the action of viewing and acquiring subscribers is extremely slow because the channel is as unknown as the video production. For this, it exists a plenty of potentialities how to raise the brand of the YouTube account. Unfortunately, here occurs the BCG growth-share matrix21 and it is in need to promote the brand production daily or minimally weekly to keep the constant or increasing number of viewership. If the person stops producing the brand, it will become (from the question marks22) the dogs23. It also has an interconnection with the time performance.

YouTube recommends to share the video on other social sites to be more supported. In addition to that, there is a hidden non-paid promotion of viewing YouTube on other websites on the Internet (= spreading the word, in this case – the link of the service). YouTube provides to share on all available social sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, reddit, Tumblr) with the possibility of copying video URL at the current halted time. If the video is a success, YouTube can display it among top trends.

The ideal YouTuber is guided by the societal marketing concept. However, it is probable to find someone who is guided in other concepts (selling or marketing mostly). The YouTuber has to realise their marketing plan (cause, whom and impact) and strategy (how to distinguish from the competitors) and use the brand, plus something what can viewers remember on YouTuber (representative image or promotion strategies - it can be the face, the greetings, the intro or outro music, the same way of production etc.).

The YouTuber is able to provide their video on their own by using the social sites (most often Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) where is possible to obtain revenue, too. The viewers are informed on the social sites by up-to-date posts of the YouTubers. To be more opened for viewers, it is recommended to sign up on the social sites (the more the better) and manage an account or fan-page with the promotion. Thanks to this, the social site publishes the post and will be displayed among regular posts.

Components affecting the Total Revenue

YouTube comes under online (internet) marketing. Online marketing uses a lot of strategies how to put promotion into a page that it does not look like a paid promotion (selected ad formats in monetisation settings). It is measured by several components (= costs). There are decades of the costs which affect the total revenue. The most interesting costs are written up below with the example. Although, all seem very alluring, it is possible to choose only one component.

CPC (cost per click) is an amount which person receives every time when the viewer clicks on the ad. The CPC for every ad is stated by the advertiser (YouTube). For example, Google AdSense uses this program.

Some advertisers can be willing to pay more for the click than others, but it depends what they advertise.
